The Boring Week

This week has been really boring because it has been ugly out and I have been going home after school and doing nothing but watching tv. I am probable going to be going home after school or not unless it is  nice out side and if any of my friends are going out. But yesterday it wasn't that bad because I had my shows on and they were really good to watch then I went to the living room and watched a movie with my brothers and one of my brothers girlfriend. Then when that movie was over I went to my room and watched another movie but by my self and I fell asleep during the movie I was watching.

The Day My Mom Left

On Sunday October 26, 2014 my mom left because she had to go to a funeral and she is going to stay out there tell me and my dad and my brothers leave for Christmas.  I was sad when she left because I won't be able to see her in a month and a half and that is a long time. Now for a month and a half I am going to be the only girl in the house which sucks but at least it will coast less money to go out there if we had to pay for my mom when we were leaving that would have been a lot of money so if she came back my older brother would probable have to stay back. I can't wait tell Christmas I will be with my family in Anchorage and before I leave I will get to spend sometime with my best friends that was in school in Mt.Edgecombe and I didn't get to say by to here when she went there because I was in Anchorage so I am super exited for her to come back.  I can't wait tell I get to see my mom again I really miss her everyday!

Friday!!!!!!

My morning turned out great I had ice cream and played games. Then I came in to my next class and our teacher gave us some cookies. After this class we have snack which is good then we go to a Social Studies class learn about ebola. Ebola is a disease and we learn about how can you get it, where did it come from, what are they doing at airports about ebola etc.... At eleven we have an assembly and i cant wait to go to that because it is during gym class and I don't have to play volleyball so I am glad it is Friday!

This week

This week has been going by fast it felt like just yesterday it was Monday now it is Thursday. YAY! tomorrow is Friday tomorrow we have an assembly and later that day we have a dance which is fun if you go out side it is fun but if you stay in side we just sit there so we mostly go outside but one of our friends have to stay in side. This week was fast but boring because Monday through Today I have been going home after school and that is boring because I don't do anything but watch tv and text. I am so glad that tomorrow is Friday I can't wait to be out with my friends and be hyper all day and night. I hope that next week will be fast to because I am tired of school already but sometimes school can be fun.

Easy Hairstyle

I am going to teach you how to do a easy hairstyle for school.  First you brush your hair down then you grab a medium sized piece of your hair then you split it in to three. Next you start to do a french braid down to your ear. When you have the braid done you grab the hair you didn't out in your braid and you put the braid and your hair together and put it in to a side pony tail. If you don't want your bangs to be down you can put it in the braid or if you want it down don't put it in the braid. There thats an easy hairstyle for school.

This Friday I have to sleep out because my mom is going to have a red carpet party for my soon to be aunty. I hope I sleep at a friends house that will be able to be out tell twelve because I want to stay out tell twelve on Friday because it is fun when you are with your friends walking in the dark. Every one that lives in my house has to sleep out even my dad because its going to be a bachelorette party I bet when we go home on Saturday the house will be all messy. I can't wait to see pictures of them at the red carpet party because they are going to be wearing pretty dresses for it and of course they will be taking pictures. I can't wait tell I get older and I will be able to go to these things or make one for someone.

My Phone

I love my phone so much I don't know what I would do with out it! When I get bored I go on my phone and start to play games or make edits or text people with out it I would probable be sleeping and laying on the couch the day or in my room finding something to do. When I go walking I listen to my music to make me walk faster so if I didn't have my phone for a day I would be really slow. I listen to my music on my phone when I get bored and when I am In the shower. And If I didn't have my phone I wouldn't be able to find out where my friends are or what they are doing so I would have to walk around and try to find them which is a lot of work to do! 

Ebola

I think ebola is really gross and it is kinda scaring me because in Social Studies we were talking about it and we are going to do research about it. The first ebola was in the 1900's and it is where people get rashes, vomiting people us 40 trash bags and they are just filled with vomit. It takes six to sixteen days  of the rash and vomiting then you turn to like a zombie. The last ebola was ten years ago and it killed a lot of people ten years ago and in the 1900's if it happens again and it comes here and it kills all of us it will be bad because we are the highest population of Aleuts and if it hits here we can extinct. So I think ebola is really bad and I hope it won't come here and if it does I hope the find a a virus that will help it go away.

Fun Week

This week I have been having fun hanging out with friends after school we like have been going by the dock to play on the rails and the pieces of the dock. We have a group and there is like six of us in the group we have been a group sense last December but trough the year we have been hanging out off and on. I don't know what I will do with out all my friends I think my life would be so boring with out them. When they don't go out I don't like to go out if they go home at after school I will to because its to boring outside with out them. When we are together we all just act weird and we talk about what if we weren't friends and what it would be like and who we would be friends with and how we would act with different friends. This week has been the most funniest week sense school started.

 1.  My name is Skylar I live on St. Paul Island, Alaska

 2.  I am 14 I lived in Anchorage for a couple years then I moved to St. Paul because I have a lot of family here and there I go and visit them every year.

 3. I like to run, walk with my friends and go hiking, I also like to go camping with family and go honda riding.

 4. My blog is about Hairstyles, I picked hairstyles because I like to fix hair and learn how to do different ones and keep practicing till it looks perfect.

5. My mom likes to fix hair to when I was a little girl my mom would braid my hair so in the morning for school it would be curly or I would keep the braid in.

6. When I graduate I want to go to college and learn how to cut hair and fix hair and work at like a barber shop or places you can fix hair.

7. When I get bored I like to fix my friends hairs and they can fix mine.

8. My hair is kinda long when I get it cut I don't like to cut it to short because I love long hair!

9.  I only wear my hair down because I don't know how to fix my own hair but I can fix other peoples hair.

10. I learn how to do different hairstyles by looking on the internet and looking at pictures or videos.

Basketball

Basketball is my favorite sport to play. I don't play on a basketball team though because I don't really know them, but with my friends I play with them because I know them. If I go to a different school I will maybe play on the team if some of my friends do with me then I will. Some of my friends are good at basketball when we start to play we don't stop tell someone tells us we have to then the next day they open the gym again and we play again tell it closes. So I play basketball twice a week which is pretty fun the only other sport I play is volleyball because on Fridays we have to with the other high school kids but basketball is the sport I like to play.

Saturday Night

On Saturday my friend was having a sleepover party she invited three girls and we had a blast that night. We were blasting music tell twelve then we went in her room watched A Haunted House 2 its a funny movie then we went in the spots were we where sleeping in then we put on spongebob and fell asleep at like 2:00 a.m. The next day we woke up at twelve and her mom made us break feast after we were done eating we went in the room no one uses because there is a big beanbag in there and we would go on a table and jump on the beanbag we did videos and edited it and the video was me jumping down and coming back up. A little after that we made pizzas and mini corn dogs and ate them while we played games on her xbox we played games for like a half an hour then her mom fixed our hair in piggy tails after she did that we wanted to go out like that so at six we went out and hong out with a couple of friends we walked around for a bit then when we got by the doc we went on block things and sat there and talked

When I Grow Up

When I grow up I want to finish High School and get into a good college and study hairstyling then when I am done with that I want to open a Salon. At my Salon I will also have some people doing nails  so I will have half hairstyling and half nail artists. Hopefully I get into a good college and learn the stuff I need to learn. When I get a Salon I want to higher some of my friends because they are good at fixing hair to they have practiced on me a bunch of times and I thing they do a very good job. I need to learn how to fix hair because I just wear my hair down like all the time or I wear it up in a pony tail. That is what I am going to do in like four years from now.

What I Am Going To Do Next Summer

Next summer I plan on getting a job because I am going to see if I can go to a different school where I have to take care of my self the school I want to go to is Mt.Edgecumb its in Sitka I will be living there in a dorm and going to school there maybe if they accept me so if I go there I will need to make money so I can buy food for myself. One of my friends go there we bother signed up to go there this year but I didn't get accepted but she did so next year I am going to try again and wait and see if they will accept me thats why I need to get a job next summer. I want to try and work for TDX or Tribal that is like the only two jobs I can get the other jobs I have to be older. One job I can get at any age is babysitting and that is the job I did this summer which was for my aunty and at first it was really hard because it was my first time doing it. This summer I don't want to babysit because it was hard you don't do much, the other jobs I will be moving around a lot so I won't be as tired as I was babysitting.

Life At Home

Life at Home

When I get home I see if my parents cooked dinner if they did then I will grab a plate of food go in the living room and watch tv while I am eating. After I am done eating I go throw my plate away and sometimes I do my laundry when I need to or I go in my room and figure out what I am going to wear for school the next day. At around 10:00 p.m. I go in my room turn my tv on and the dvd player then I go on my phone turn my alarm on so I can wake up in the morning then I go to bed wake up at 6:40 a.m. grab my clothes and go to the bathroom and take a shower. Twenty minutes after i get out of the shower I go back to the bathroom and fix my hair then by the time I am done it is time to go to school so I go put on my jacket and shoes and wait in the truck for everyone else to get in then my parents drive me and my brother to school then my mom drops my dad off at work then my mom goes to work.  At lunch time we go to our house and we have to find something to eat because no one is home to make us anything or we go to the store and get something fast to microwave me and my brothers eat in the living room and watch tv my parents go in there room and watch tv to while they are eating. On the weekends me and my parents sometimes go honda riding and we all get dressed right for the weather and we jump on the hondas and drive around. Thats pretty much all I do when I go home.

Christmas Vacation

For Christmas I am going to Seattle with my parents and brother. The only reason we are going there is because my parents are going to watch a football game and they had enough money for me and my brother to go with them to Seattle but we can't go to the game. They are going to watch the Rams against the Seahawks the team I like is the Seahawks I wish I can watch them but its okay that I am only going to Seattle. One time my Papa took my parents and my aunty's to Seattle and I told my mom that I wanted to go there and now for Christmas I am going there that is the best Christmas present ever. Now I just have to wait tell Christmas comes in three months.

Football

For the past couple of weeks I have been playing Football with my friends. We have like five people against five sometimes we have boys against girls or mix them up but it is more better when we mix up because the girls really suck when its just us. We play for like two or three hours its really fun I like to kick my friends say I am the best kicker I also like to throw but I don't throw that far. We don't keep track of who is winning because we don't count how many points we get every touchdown. Me and the girls are kinda getting better from playing a lot but the boys are really good I think they beat us when we play. When I get older I want to go to a real football field and see how far I can kick because I live on an Island so we just play by the church on the grass.

The Vacation I Went On This Summer

This summer my mom was leaving to Anchorage for training and I asked her if I can go with her and she said yeah but I wasn't leaving the same day as her but a couple days before she left my great kuka got sick my grandma wanted my mom to go with her to see my great kuka. My dad was going out there with us to so he was leaving Sunday and i was leaving on Monday but I went standby on Sunday and they put me on the plane because my great kuka was sick and I really wanted to see her. When me and my dad got to the airport in Anchorage my mom and aunty were waiting for us by the place where you get your bags then we went to my auntys house and put our bags in our room. We weren't able to see my great kuka tell the next day because it was to late so me and my parents decided we should go bowling and I said sure. A couple weeks later my great kuka got better and she was able to go home, she lives in Wasilla so me and my family drove to her house to go visit her it was the very nice to see her happy at home with all of her family. A couple days before I left I went to the fair with my friend and it was so fun we went on a bunch of rides but after we went on like four i started to get sick so I said I think i'm going to stop now then I stole a piece of pizza from one of my friends because I was hungry after I ate my friend got sick to so her mom said we should go home now then we walked to the car and it takes about an hour to drive back to Anchorage we got there then I went to bed because I was sick. The next day I had to do laundry and pack because I was leaving the next day to go back home to St.Paul I was happy to go home because I would be with my friends and be able to walk around, but I was sad at the same time because I didn't want to leave my family in Anchorage and Wasilla. When I got back to St.Paul I had to go to school the next day so my summer was over. Thats pretty much what I did this summer plus babysitting but that wasn't really fun at all.

Babysitting

This summer I had to get money because I was trying to go to Mt.Edgecumbe, so I was babysitting for my Aunty Olga I was watching her two girls who are my cousins. I did not like getting up every morning at 8:00am to go to her house and watch them. Sometimes they would be good or sometimes they would  act like cry baby's. When they weren't acting good I would have to put them in timeout but that was kinda hard because they would try and fight with me and try and get there way but I wouldn't let them. When it was nice out I would take them out so I can hang out with my friends at the same time. The only thing that I like about babysitting is I get $400 and that it is not a hard job at all other job you would have to do a lot of work like walking around picking up trash or doing a lot of paper work, babysitting you can be on the internet,sit around or you can play with them. Babysitting is all I did this summer not really a fun summer at all but I loved the nice whether.

School

This week in school we have Bering Sea Days which is kinda fun it is about people coming up here form other places to teach us about the ocean or put together a baby whale which we are doing right now and when we are done we are going to hang it up in our school in the library next to the seal we have up it been up there for awhile. We only have Bering Sea Days for a week once a year

People's Hairstyles In My School

In my school people wear there hair down, in a bun, or a pony tail, or in a braid. I always have my hair down and there are a couple people who always wear there hair down too. I wish i new a lot more hairstyles so I wouldn't have to wear my hair down all the time. I would learn how to do different hairstyles but YouTube is blocked here at my school so I cant watch any videos. But I will find a way some and figure out some new hairstyles to tell you guys about.

What I Do Outside Of School

When  I get out of school I hang out with my friends we go walking or play games or do random stuff. Like yesterday we went to the library for a couple hours then we decided we wanted to play zombies after we played that we found some kind of stuff to run on and play tag and we did for about twenty minutes. When we finished that game we walked to the ball field and watched my brother his friend and my cousin play catch with a foot ball for like an hour because they said they were done. So we were standing there for awhile then I got cold and asked my mom if she can pick me up. When she got there I said bye to the to the people I was with and I had to walk to her because she parked on the road not on the field then I went home and went to bed.

Playing Guitar

In music class I play the guitar and so far I know two song, Oh Christmas Tree, And Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. A couple weeks ago I played Oh Christmas Tree for some little kids and some of my class mates play other songs for them like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, at that time I didn't know that song so I had to play Oh Christmas Tree. There are only a couple of my class mates practice the guitar and sometimes the piano and the rest are doing an online class. I plan on learning  more songs I can play by the end of the year.

Christmas

I thought I was going to Seattle for Christmas but we didn't have enough money so we are only going to Anchorage. I don't mind that we are going there because I have friends and family there and we can go to the movies together or to the mall which I love to do! I know someday my parents will take me to Seattle because they promised they would. In 2011 my papa took my parents, Aunty, another Aunty and my Yaya to Seattle for a couple of days and I said I wish I can go there! So when my parents got back I asked my mom if she can take me there I hope it will be before I go to college.

Family

Some of my moms family live in Wasilla, Anchorage, and Sitka and that is my grandmas side of the family. My mom has a stepdad that has been around sense she was born her real dad left before she was born. My dad has a different dad than his sister and brothers my dads real dad past away recently I didn't know he was my papa tell like a couple months before he passed away. So both of my parents have different dads, I didn't find out that the both have different dads tell a couple months ago. I know a lot about my moms side of the family, I don't really know much about my dads side of the family all I  know about his family is that he has one sister and four brothers but one passed away when my older brother was two. That is pretty much all I know about my parents family.

School

In school everyday me and my class mates go to our first class which is ELA and in that class we do our blogs or we read books. The next class is Math and our teacher usually gives us papers we don't really do work out of the book he prints some papers and gives it to us and we finish it before we have to switch class. The next class is Social Studies and we review lessons and take tests on Friday and sometimes we read the books that we picked for this class and we have to read books about history. The next class is P.E. and there is not that many people in that class so I either shoot around or sit there for an hour and wait to go to lunch because no one really does anything in P.E. there are like only two people doing something and they usually play around the world. After lunch we go to Science class and we take notes on Monday, Tuesday through Thursday we do a packet and on Friday we take a test.  The next class after Science we have music and some of us play the guitar and some do the online class we have for that class music class is the last class we have for the day.

Winter

Sometimes I like winter but sometimes I don't because we have big blizzards here and we have to stay in and I don't like to stay inside at my house because it is boring. But I like it a little because the pond by the playground get frozen and we can go ice skating and someday it is nice and when it is it melts the snow a little.Winter is really cold up here when it is really cold I want to go home but I don't want to go home but I go home because it is to cold out that is why I don't like winter because it get to cold and I want to hang out with all of my friends. I like to go to Anchorage for Christmas because it gets dark out early and I don't think they get bad blizzards I don't know when I was there in Christmas there was never a blizzard just light snow falling. There is only Two thing I like about Christmas and I told you one but the other one is we get presents those are the only two and there is a lot of things I don't like about it.

How To Do A Wrap Around Braid

How to do a wrap around braid. First you brush your hair down and your bangs so there is no nots or anything. Second you grab a kinda big but not to big piece of hair from the top and front of your hair but you can leave you bangs if you want. The top front of your hair and split it in to three and start a french braid to the back of your head then you use a clip to keep it in the back of you head and you do the same thing with the other side and you have a wrap around braid.

Summer

I love summer because it is so hot and I love to just sit there with my family and get a St.Paul tan like this summer we went to a new beach it was fun with family and friends there. This summer was probably the hottest summer in a long time half of the summer I was up here and the other half I was in Anchorage for my kuka she got really sick. It was really hot there to when we would go somewhere we would have open the windows and when we were in the house we would have to turn the fan on. I hope this summer will be hot again and fun when I was here I would hang out with my friends and go swimming with then in a lake I wasn't in there that long or my friends weren't either I was late going out there and my friends were longer so they got out and I didn't want to be in there by my self. Summer is the most best thing every year.
