Seaparrots

            I am so happy the Seaparrots won yesterday, I hope they win today. I am exited for the other teams to come up here because we finally get to watch them play here instead of listening to them, I also hope they win when playing against the teams that are coming here. When I was thinking about the graduation and who is all graduating I figured out that most of the people who are graduating are the people on the ball team. There will be only six people on the team and only two of them will be able to leave and play with other teams.

Tomorrow Is Friday!

       So today is Tursday and I can't wait tell tomorrow because it is Friday and I hope I have a good day tomorrow. It better be nice out tomorrow because I want to go out and hang out with my friends and have fun. Today is kinda nice it is sunny but it is windy, there is no more snow blowing anymore witch is good I don't like the snow blowing because its really cold. Today I have no clue what I am going to do I don't really want to go home because its not fun at home all I do at home is either watch tv or watch movies with my parents I don't mind watching movies with my parents because I like to hang out with them. So yeah tomorrow is Friday and I can't wait I have to find out where to sleep becauase I don't like to sleep home because my parents either go hang out with friends for a ling time or their frineds will come to our house so I like to sleep out because if they go out I don't like to be home alone.

My Hair

          My natural hair color is blonde and brown, but at the beginning of this month I dyed the tips of my hair hot pink. It was my first time getting my hair done in a Salon it was a great experience. I got it done where my aunty always gets hers done becauase my aunty said she was good. So I said okay it took about three or four hours I was going to fall asleep soon because she started to bleach my hair at about seven and it took about half an hour then she had to wash my tips after the bleach was done then I finally got my pink in and had to sit under a big round dryer thing and I don't know exactly what it does. It cost $80 I thought it was going to cost a little bit more than that but it wasn't I thought it was a good price and I tiped her ten bucks so she got $90. I had to think a little before I got it done because I wanted to buy some clothes but I wouldn't have enough money to buy any if I got my hair done but when I was thinking I said I don't think I will have enough time to shop because it was two days before I was leaving so I got my hair done because I didn't have enough time to shop for clothes.

Yesterday January 27, 2015

         Yesterday I went to the store after school and go a drink and chips and a cookie then I came back to the school. I waited for my friends mom so she can give us a ride uptown I was going to go home but I visited my friend for about an hour because I wanted a ride home when my mom got off of work because it was to cold to walk. While I was at her house we watched part of a movie call The Interview I wanted to stay until the end but the friend I was with wanted to go to the store then the library and I did not want to because it would have been a ling cold walk home when it closed. So instead I went home and waited for my dinner to be done and when it was I went in my parents room and watched movies with them we watched No Good Deed and Devils Knot. Even though I watched No Good Deed already I still watched it with them because I like spending time with them, but I never watched Devils Knot I thought it was a pretty good movie but sad too because its about three boys getting killed because they went to the devils place. That is pretty much all I did yesterday, because after the movies were over I went to my room and went to bed.

The Weather Outside

           Right now the weather is horrible it is windy out so it is making snow blow. It sucks that it is snowing I don't want there to be snow I wish it was summer already but I think the snow is going to go away late because it started late. Hopefully the snow will stop blowing by tomorrow, I wanted to go out today but now I change my mind because of the weather I don't like to be inside all day because I will end up taking a nap and staying up late. I could go to a friends house after school but I won't have a ride home later on that day unless I go home at five that will be the only time I will have a ride because my mom gets off of work at that time. Every time I look outside I get the chills because I just think of the snow blowing on to my face, I hate snow, I hate winer it.

Maple Bars

Maple Bar Recipe 

1 1/2 cups milk 

1/3 cup shortening 

4 tablespoons sugar 

2 teaspoons salt 

2 teaspoons cinnamon 

1/4 cup water 

2 (1/4 ounce) package yeast 

2 large eggs, beaten 

4 3/4 cups flour 

Maple Icing Recipe 

1/3 cup butter 

1 cup package brown sugar 

1/4 cup milk 

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar 

2 teaspoons mapleine 

Directions 

1. For maple bars: in saucepan scald milk.
2. Add shortening, sugar, salt ans cinnamon.
3. Dissolve and let cool to lukewarm.
4. In large bowl dissolve 2 packages of yeast in water.
5. Add beaten eggs and stir.
6. Stir saucepan mix into yeast mixture.
7. Gradually add flour
8. knead.
9. Let rise in bowl for an hour.
10. Punch down and roll out to 1" thickness.
11. Cut into squares and let rise again lightly greased baking sheets.
12. Bake at 425 degrees for 7-8 minutes or until light golden brown. Watch carefully.
13.For Icing: In saucepan mix butter, brown sugar and milk.
14. Bring to boil and simmer 3 minutes.
15. Remove from heat and cool for 15 minutes.
16. Add mapleine and then powdered sugar and blend well
17. Add more powdered sugar if needed.
18. Spread on maple bar and enjoy.


My mom made some maple bars last year in November and I was so happy because maple bars are so good! A person here on the Island makes the best maple bars ever she makes them for some people to sell at basketball games or dances and some other things. You have to do a lot of work to make these it took my mom hours and I was like hurry because it was taking for ever when she was finally done I ate like Three thats how good they are. You also have to buy a lot of things to make them but it is so worth it because when you are done you can eat them and enjoy them thats what I did but i didn't make them.

My Second Favorite Cookie

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookie

Recipe to make 3 1/2 dozen 

1 cup butter, softened 

1 cup packed light brown sugar 

1/2 cup white sugar

2 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract 

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

3 cups quick-cooking oats 

1 cup chopped walnuts 

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

These are my second favorite cookies if someone will make these cookies I will like literally eat all the cookies. My mom doesn't really make these ones my mom likes to make Christmas cookies but when I go to birthday partys they like always have these cookies and I have one when we are done singing and like probable six after. I will probable ask my mom if I can make some of these cookies this weekend or next week maybe I only like bake when my mom does and she only bakes when she wants it but maybe I will make them some time soon. These are my favorite cookies because I love to eat oatmeal I like the way my mom and dad make it for me they add some stuff in there so it won't taste so plane, the cookies taste good but they taste better if you add the chocolate chips in it. If you are ever craving cookies you should make these ones because they are so good. 

What I Got For Christmas

     The presents I got from my parents were water speakers, a columbia jacket and a sweater with it, and a North Face sweater. That was pretty much what I wanted for Christmas but the only thing I didn't get what I wanted was a new phone but, I can get it this year in October if my parents agree to. When I got older I don't want so much stuff anymore like when I was younger I wanted a whole bunch of toys because my friends would have cool toys and I would want them to so thats why I wanted a lot of toys for Christmas but now that I am older I only want a couple of things but expensive things. Oh and the other present my parents got me but I got it a couple days before Christmas and it was a plane ticket to Anchorage, I wanted to go to Anchorage because two of my friends were going there for Christmas to see there parents or to go there with there parents and we made some planes like go to the mall watch movies and hang out and we did do those things which was fun, my plane ticket was the most expensive present because it cost like $1000. I was so happy my parents got me most of the presents I wanted, I think I got more than I needed because they also gave me $400 to get what I want in Anchorage, so they spent a lot of money on me and my brothers for Christmas I wonder what their going to get us for Christmas this year.

Russian Tea Cakes

            

Recipe to make 3 dozen 

1 cup butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

6 tablespoons confectioners sugar

2 cup flour 

1 cup chopped walnuts

1/3 cup confectioners sugar for decoration 

These are like the best cookies I really like them. My mom made some recently I stayed home because she was making them and I wanted to wait tell some were done so I can go to a friends house and share some with her, and I did she also agreed that they were good! My mom also really loves these cookies every year for Christmas she makes cookies and she has to make these ones because she loves them, but this year she didn't make cookies I don't know why because I wasn't here for Christmas I was in Anchorage with other family. If you are going to make cookies for Christmas or just going to make cookies for fun I would recommend these cookies to you because they are the like the bet cookies in the world for now. 

My Vacation In Anchorage

        I went to Anchorage for Christmas and it was a pretty fun trip saw some people from here while I was out there and hong out with some of my friends from here and from there. I did a little bit in Anchorage, I went to the mall with two of my friends from here and walked around for hours and hours and I don't think I even bought anything until the second time I went there with them I got new shoes and a new sweater, I got my shoes from Footlocker and my sweater form American Eagle. On the second of January I went to H20ASIS with some people I know, I had a lot of fun there when I was done there my uncle was going to Wasilla to see family and I said I wanted to go so he took me with him and it got late so we just stayed there till the next day. Two days before I was coming home my aunty took me to a salon so I can dye my hair and I did, I dyed my tips hot pink and I really like it! The next day around eight a clock my aunty and her boyfriend took me to the hospital to go see there new born baby she had to stay there for awhile because she wasn't eating all the food so they had to put a feeding tube up her nose till she was ready to eat all her food out of the bottle, when we got there I held her for about seven minutes, she was so cute I didn't want to let her go but my aunty wanted to hold her so I let her, that was my first time holding her and my last time until I leave again and I don't know when that will be but I had fun holding her because she was so cute! Then I went back to where i was staying fell asleep and woke up early to go to the airport because I was going back home, I was exited and sad, I was exited to go back home and see my parents but I was sad I was leaving my family there.
